 With
a growing order book and year 2006 being reported as the
company’s most successful, Directors’ of Excel
Automation have strengthened their management team this
year, bringing new, younger blood into the organisation
to create a more dynamic forward looking team.
New General Manager
Gary Sweeney, 33 years, joins Excel Automation as General
Manager, with over fifteen years in plant and manufacturing
business sectors, he has a wealth of experience that stems
from design engineering to project and manufacturing management
in a major international organisation. His proven people-management
skills will strengthen the already excellent working relations
throughout all departments, from the mechanical design and
electrical control engineers to production, installation
and commissioning teams.
Commenting Gary says “I have known
Excel as a customer and appreciated their dedication in
creating robust yet practical materials handling solutions.
Much of their core business is in warehousing and manufacture
but I am keen to exploit the tremendous skill base within
the organisation to establish and build an enviable reputation
for Excel Automation in new and more diverse markets such
as food and pharmaceutical.”
New Production Manager
Due to internal promotion the role of Production Manager,
which recently became vacant, has been filled by Lee Pilsworth.
Lee at just 36 years will be managing Excel Automation’s
70,000 sq foot production area in Worcester and brings a
wealth of toolrooom, fabrication and CNC operational experience
to the company. Leaving a top flight international organisation
where he was responsible for overseeing production flow
Lee takes on the challenges at Excel, managing their diverse
build programmes that range from standalone conveyors to
that of totally integrated production lines.
